Benjamin Sheares Bridge is located in the heart of Singapore. Stretching 1.8 kilometers, it is the longest bridge in Singapore, reaching a maximum height of 20 meters. Opened to traffic in 1981, it is named after Benjamin Henry Sheares, the second President of Singapore. The construction of the bridge cost 177 million Singapore dollars, and it was built with precast concrete. It has since become one of Singapore’s most photogenic landmarks.
