A quiet beach and a great place for a picnic. Introduction Laem Sai Beach is located on the eastern side of the southernmost part of Phuket and is a very peaceful beach. Due to its shallow waters, it’s not a popular spot for swimming, but it is shaded by many tall trees with dense foliage, making it an ideal place for picnics. Local Thais often visit in the early afternoon or evening, gathering with friends to enjoy charcoal-grilled seafood, green papaya salad, and other snacks sold by beach vendors. They sit on straw mats provided by the vendors, dining and chatting leisurely on the sand — a truly relaxing experience.

Tip: Visitors can rent a long-tail boat to explore the nearby islands. At the easternmost part of Laem Sai, there is a small village of the “Sea Gypsies,” where a seafood market is set up at the entrance. Freshly caught seafood is sold here daily. They also offer sea tours by long-tail boat, with rental prices lower than those in the central beach area. Food/Accommodation/Shopping The path along the beach is lined with tall palm trees. Laem Sai offers plenty of affordable and delicious seafood, making it a good choice for those who want a relaxing holiday, enjoy sitting back to take in the scenery, or love having a picnic.
