Happy Valley Beijing
Happy Valley Beijing is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.
A national 4A-level scenic spot, one of the New Sixteen Scenic Spots of Beijing, and a cultural and creative industry base of Beijing — Happy Valley Beijing is a new-generation cultural theme park meticulously developed over four years by OCT Group, drawing on 20 years of professional expertise. Located southeast of Sifangqiao on the East Fourth Ring Road in Chaoyang District, Beijing, it covers an area of 560,000 square meters. Opened in July 2006, it is currently one of the most international and modern theme parks in China. Centered around cultural landscapes, artistic performances, and amusement experiences, it integrates land, sea, and air attractions. It delights visitors during the day and captivates them at night, making it a top choice for families, a fun classroom for children, and an entertainment pioneer for young people.
Happy Valley Beijing consists of seven major themed areas: "Fjord Forest," "Aegean Harbor," "Lost Maya," "Shangri-La," "Ant Kingdom," "Atlantis," and "Happy Hour." Through themed cultural packaging and storytelling, it showcases a vibrant array of global ecological environments and regional cultures using architecture, sculptures, gardens, murals, performances, and rides. The park features over 50 themed landscapes, more than 10 themed performances, over 30 themed amusement facilities, and over 20 themed games and commercial auxiliary facilities, creating a mysterious and dreamlike world. With over 300,000 square meters of greenery and 80,000 square meters of lake surface, Happy Valley offers a pleasant ecological environment. Its seven themed zones give it a unique cultural charm, while international and domestic safety standards, user-friendly services, and an intelligent park-wide information system ensure world-class quality.
Cultural performances are the core experience at Happy Valley Beijing. The park boasts a professional performance troupe of over 200 actors from China and abroad, including acrobats, costume performers, singers, dancers, cultural troupes, as well as international acts such as the American aquatic performance team, European Eurobalkan brass band, Western extreme sports teams, Western cultural performance groups, and African dance troupes. These diverse art forms deliver nearly 80 performances daily throughout the year. The large-scale dance poetry drama "Golden Mask Dynasty" has shone brightly in Beijing’s cultural performance scene since its debut in 2007. After four years of development, it has become a standout cultural product in Beijing’s tourism and performing arts market, reaching audiences in nearly 30 countries and regions across East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe & America. It stands as a rare cultural gem in Beijing’s tourism performance offerings. In 2012, it joined the Capital Theatre Alliance, becoming one of the first 16 key tourism performance projects in Beijing, and won the Special Contribution Award at the prestigious Lotus Awards, China’s highest honor in dance. The OCT Grand Theatre in Happy Valley Beijing not only serves as the permanent venue for "Golden Mask Dynasty" but also hosts various large-scale events. It has been the stage for dozens of influential events, including the "Tencent 2007 Starlight Awards," the "2008 CCTV New Year's Gala Bilingual Show," and the Beijing Municipal Government’s National Day gala "Me and My Motherland," establishing itself as a key hub for cultural events in Beijing.
As a new-generation cultural theme park, Happy Valley Beijing features over 40 amusement rides with internationally leading technology, ranking among the best in Asia in terms of functionality, scale, and facility configuration. Whether you’re seeking thrilling rides for thrill-seekers or family-friendly attractions for all ages, the clever integration of cultural landscapes and amusement facilities delivers a uniquely magical experience. Here, you can ride Asia’s only "Crystal Wing" to soar through the skies; take on the world’s highest drop ride, the "Odyssey," to unleash youthful energy; board the world’s tallest "Energy Orbiter" for breathtaking views; or experience the adrenaline rush of China’s tallest launched coaster, the "Speed Monster," reminiscent of an F1 race.
Happy Valley Beijing upholds a balanced focus on social, economic, environmental, and cultural benefits. Its successful development and high-quality operations have generated significant spillover effects and agglomeration benefits, playing a vital role in regional development, urban infrastructure improvement, social harmony, public entertainment, and overall urban benefits. With its brand personality of "dynamic, fashionable, and passionate," innovative business model, and premium service, Happy Valley Beijing has earned widespread acclaim.
