Destination Introduction

Beijing Chaolai Horticultural Park was invested in and built by the Chaoyang District Government and Laiguangying Township Government. It is an agricultural park integrating high-tech production, fresh vegetable processing, leisure and entertainment, and science education. It serves as a rural scenic tourism destination in the northern part of Beijing.

Beijing Chaolai Horticultural Park was established at the end of 1996 and officially opened to the public on June 8, 1997. The park has built 54 high-standard energy-saving solar greenhouses, constructed with unique architectural styles and modern new materials. In terms of planting, it makes full use of high technology, employing soilless cultivation techniques, balanced nutrient fertilization, and pollution-free pest control, while also introducing nearly 100 new varieties from both domestic and international sources. The construction of the courtyard-connected intelligent glass greenhouse and the Youth Science and Technology Practice Park, which began in March 1999, will greatly enhance the park’s efficient demonstration and educational roles. The Agricultural Retrospective Exhibition combines the culture of traditional farmsteads with the history of modern agricultural development, allowing visitors to enjoy the pleasures of rural life while enriching their knowledge of agricultural progress. The park boasts a beautiful environment and fresh air, making it an ideal spot for leisure and cooling off.

A sports field equipped with over 10 types of leisure and fitness equipment. Fishing is also available. The park utilizes modern equipment and high-tech achievements to produce nearly 100 varieties of pollution-free, green vegetables. Its colorful bell peppers were exhibited at the World Expo in May 1999 and won major awards. The park is situated on a greenbelt buffer zone, featuring a beautiful and elegant environment. It fully showcases the features of high-tech achievements, the charm of modern agriculture, and the beauty of rural landscapes, providing residents and tourists with an excellent place for sightseeing, leisure, science learning, experiencing rural life and fun, and returning to nature.
