Gyeongpo Provincial Park

Gyeongpo Provincial Park is located in the areas of Unjeong-dong, Tosandong, and Gangmun-dong in Gangneung, Gangwon Province, South Korea, and was designated as a provincial park on June 26, 1982. Covering a total area of 9,471 square meters, the park boasts beautiful natural surroundings and numerous cultural heritage sites. Its convenient location makes it an ideal spot for modern people exhausted from busy lives to relax and unwind.

Located about 6 kilometers north of downtown Gangneung, Gyeongpo Provincial Park features a variety of unique tourist attractions. For instance, Gyeongpodae, one of the Eight Scenic Views of the East Coast, is a famous spot for moon viewing during the Lantern Festival. Gyeongpo Beach, the largest beach on South Korea’s east coast, attracts visitors from across the country every summer. Additionally, events such as the park’s cherry blossom festival in spring and the romantic seaside atmosphere in winter are also well-known, ensuring lively scenes all year round.
