Geumneung Maze Park

Geumneung Maze Park is located on Manjanggul Street in Gujwa-eup, Jeju City, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, South Korea. It sits right between the famous attractions Manjanggul Cave and Geumneungsa Cave, allowing visitors to easily combine trips to all three. Originally built by an American professor, the park opened to the public in 1987 and has since become one of the most visited parks on Jeju.

Geumneung Maze Park covers a total area of approximately 1,000 square kilometers. It features 1,232 Leyland cypresses from England and 2 golden-leaved Leyland cypresses, along with three bridges totaling 60 meters in length and an observation deck that offer great photo opportunities for tourists. The maze itself stretches 932 meters in total, with the shortest route from entrance to exit being 190 meters. Visitors walking through hedges taller than themselves can often easily lose their sense of direction. Fortunately, a map is provided upon entry to help navigate. Those who successfully find their way to the exit will first pass by a raised platform equipped with a bell, which they can ring to celebrate their accomplishment.
