The Moonlight Rainbow Fountain, suspended above the Banpo Bridge in Seoul, spans about 570 meters along both sides of the bridge. With 380 nozzles covering a total length of 1140 meters, it channels water from the Han River to reach heights of 20 meters. The stunning mist fans out like a peacock’s tail over the river, and tiny droplets flip gracefully through the air before softly landing in the water—an exceptionally innovative design concept.

The Moonlight Rainbow Fountain offers different aesthetics during the day and at night. Emitting up to 190 tons of water per minute, it showcases over 100 dynamic patterns during the day—such as willow leaves and catkins—as the flowing water morphs into beautiful, ever-changing shapes made of droplets that captivate the eye. At night, the fountain transforms once again, donning a rainbow cloak symbolizing vitality and hope under the glow of lights. Over 200 colorful lamps, choreographed to music, weave a constantly shifting spectacle of the seven colors of the rainbow across the mysterious night sky. In December 2008, the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain was recorded in the Guinness World Records as the world’s longest bridge fountain and has since received worldwide acclaim.

At night, illuminated by more than 200 lights, the fountain displays a variety of vibrant patterns, hence earning the name "Rainbow Fountain." From April to October each year (excluding Mondays), the fountain operates 5–7 times daily (each session lasting 20 minutes). Nearby parks feature outdoor stages, ecological observation gardens, and water-themed amusement areas—making it a great spot to enjoy the scenery and outdoor leisure activities.
