Nomi City

Nomi City is a city in the Kaga region of Ishikawa Prefecture on the southern part of Honshu Island, Japan. The western part of the city faces the Sea of Japan, and the Tedori River flows through the northern part of the city. It was established as a city in 2005. Hideki Matsui, a former Major League Baseball player, hails from this area. Additionally, the Kanazawa Institute of Technology is also located here.

Museums in Nomi City include the Nomi City Museum, Nomi City Museum of History and Folklore, Kutaniyaki Ceramics Museum, Kutaniyaki Museum, Asanari Isokichi Art Museum, and Ishikawa Prefectural Kutaniyaki Technical Training Institute. Shonai Onsen is the city’s most famous hot spring, boasting a history of over 1,400 years. Legend has it that 1,400 years ago, a villager used water from the spring to heal an injured horse's leg, proving that hot springs were flowing even back then. In winter, visitors can soak in the fragrant hot spring waters while admiring the beautiful snowy scenery, enjoying the comforting warmth of the springs.

Other must-visit sites include Saya Shrine, Negami Meteorite Monument, Tōdai Sasayama Ruins, Kensui Kannonzan, Shonai Hills Park, Shonai Pasture, Wadayama & Masshinzan Historic Site Park, and Akitsuneyama Ancient Tomb Cluster.
