Oura Catholic Church
Introduction This is Japan’s oldest wooden Gothic church, built in 1864 by French missionaries. Its elegant arches and stained glass windows reflect European style.
The church has been designated as a national treasure. Shops around the area sell various Nagasaki specialties.
Transportation Take a tram or bus to “Oura Tenshudo” and walk 4 minutes to reach the site. Ticket/Opening Hours Adults: 300 yen. Opening hours: 8:00–17:00 (8:30–16:45 from December to February)
