Hiroshima City Botanical Park

Hiroshima City Botanical Park is located in Saeki Ward, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. Opened in Showa 51 (1976), it covers an area of 18.3 hectares and is the largest and most renowned botanical garden in Hiroshima. It is truly a kingdom of plants, where flora from around the world thrive joyfully.

Hiroshima City Botanical Park consists of several major sections, including laboratories, an artificial waterfall, large flower beds, a large greenhouse, a tropical water lily greenhouse, a fuchsia greenhouse, a cactus greenhouse, a fuchsia bellflower greenhouse, a begonia greenhouse, a rock garden, a Japanese garden, and a camellia garden. The park cultivates approximately 11,700 species and a total of 234,600 plants from around the world, allowing visitors to enjoy a rich tropical and subtropical atmosphere all year round. In addition, the park features facilities for visitors to relax, such as a forest restaurant, a forest café, a souvenir shop, and a flower shop. The souvenir shop sells a wide variety of original goods, commemorative items, and special souvenirs that can only be purchased at this botanical park. Nearly every visitor to the park chooses one or two small gifts to take home.
