Lamington National Park is located on the Gold Coast of Queensland, approximately 85 kilometers from the Gold Coast. Established in 1915, it covers an area of 206 square kilometers and is renowned for its natural beauty. In 2007, it was included in the Australian National Heritage List. The park is also recognized by BirdLife International as an important bird area because it is home to several endangered bird species.

The park’s dense rainforests, colorful birds, ancient towering trees, cascading waterfalls, mysterious caves, fragrant flowers, lofty mountains, and tranquil trails make it a paradise on earth. There are over 500 waterfalls of varying sizes, all a delight to the eye. Most of the world’s temperate rainforests, along with nearly all Antarctic beech forests and subalpine rainforests, are found here. With more than 200 species of birds, it’s an ideal spot for birdwatching in the early morning.

Lamington National Park offers different activities every day. In the morning, you can go birdwatching and hiking, and at night, you can stargaze. Additionally, you can explore the rainforest, get close to the waterfalls, observe insects, embark on jungle adventures, or enjoy a picnic. No matter where you are in the park, there’s always something surprising to discover.
