The Gold Coast is Australia's most famous holiday destination, covering more than 70 kilometers of coastline south of Brisbane. With a subtropical climate, it enjoys sunshine all year long. However, for visitors from Europe and America, it’s the pristine white-sand beaches and exciting water activities that are the biggest draws.

Almost as famous as the Gold Coast itself, Surfers Paradise is a must-visit spot for every traveler. Its stretch of golden beach, extending for tens of kilometers, along with excellent surfing conditions, attracts surfers from around the world. Coupled with high-rise holiday apartments and hotels built along the shore, plus lively shops and shopping malls, Surfers Paradise has become a modern seaside resort destination.

 

The main area of Surfers Paradise is centered around Cavill Mall, where you’ll find numerous shopping malls, restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops. After years of effort, they built their own sailing yacht — the HEIKE — and set sail from Rotterdam, Netherlands in 2004, beginning their global sailing journey. After seven months, they arrived at the Gold Coast in Australia. Drawn by the favorable climate and sailing environment, they decided to make Australia their home.

Often referred to as the Gold Coast’s backyard garden, it’s now designated as nine national parks, with Mount Tamborine being one of them.

 

The lush green forests and serene countryside landscapes have long made this area a romantic honeymoon destination for Australians. As Queensland’s first national park, Mount Tamborine is home to rare plants dating back 150 million years, as well as unique birds and butterfly species.
