Cute Train — Old P & Mushroom

High-Speed Rail / Cartoon Painted Train

Following the great success of painted airplanes by airlines, Taiwan High Speed Rail trains have also caught the painting trend, launching a fully painted “Happy Cartoon Train.” The entire 12-car train features different cartoon characters as the painting themes for each carriage exterior. In order from the first car: Adventure Time – Old P, The Amazing World of Gumball, BEN 10, New Tom and Jerry, Regular Show, The Powerpuff Girls, Chowder, Itchy & Scratchy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, BEN 10, The Amazing World of Gumball, and Adventure Time – Finn. Once aboard the train, it’s like entering a dreamy cartoon world.

TRA / Jiji Line Mushroom Train

Entering its seventh year, Nantou Train Festival has annually invited different cartoon characters as event guests, allowing cartoon stars to accompany everyone on fun trips along the Jiji Line. This year, the extremely popular mobile app game character “Mushroom Cultivation Lab” cute mushrooms from Japan have made their way to the Jiji Line, appearing on TRA Jiji Line carriages. The operation dates are from now until August 11. Those who wish to ride should act fast.

Cute Exhibition — Robot Kitty & Doraemon

Taipei / Robot Kitty Interactive Exhibition

Taiwan’s first officially licensed exhibition of the super-popular “Robot Kitty Future Park” is being held at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park from now until October 20. Spanning more than 700 ping (about 2,310 m²), the oversized exhibition area features 3D immersive mazes. Combining Robot Kitty with life-size 1:1 figures of Sanrio characters dressed as cute engineers, it offers endless opportunities for photos. There are also highly stimulating and fun interactive game stages. Themed around Robot Kitty’s secret lab, the exhibition lets visitors join Dr. Kitty da VinKI in R&D, upgrading Robot Kitty gear through games to create your own personalized Robot Kitty experience.

Kaohsiung / Doraemon Touring Exhibition

The Doraemon Taiwan Touring Exhibition, which caused a sensation in Taipei and Taichung, will conclude its final stop from August 3 to November 10 at the B3 and B4 buildings of Penglai Warehouse in Kaohsiung’s Pier-2 Art Center. This Kaohsiung exhibition features 100 large 1:1 Doraemon models holding various props, three classic scenes, precious original manuscripts by the author Fujiko F. Fujio, and the chance to walk through the homes of Nobita, Gian, and Shizuka. Additionally, unlike the Taipei and Taichung venues, the Pier-2 exhibit will also showcase the southern, sunny atmosphere of Kaohsiung’s beaches.
