Taipei Hope Square is located at the intersection of Xinyi South Road and Bade Road in Taipei City, adjacent to Guanghua Digital Plaza. Originally established as a temporary exhibition venue for agricultural and specialty products by the Council of Agriculture of Taiwan’s Executive Yuan to bring hope to the agricultural sector in the regions affected by the 921 earthquake, it has gradually become a permanent venue where farmer associations from various counties and cities showcase their local agricultural specialties in Taipei.

Every Saturday and Sunday, and even late the night before, trucks loaded with all kinds of fruits and agricultural specialties begin coming in and out of Hope Square. Farmers travel from all over Taiwan, carefully unpacking and displaying their homegrown fruits on shelves, showcasing their plump, high-quality produce to the residents of Taipei. “Direct from the source, outdoor sunshine, safe production” can be described as the three main features of Taipei Hope Square. The agricultural products sold here are under strict quality control by production and marketing groups from major agricultural counties and cities, ensuring that consumers do not have to worry about purchasing substandard goods.

Today, Hope Square has not only become an important weekend farmers’ market in the Greater Taipei area but also serves as a bridge between producers and consumers. This vibrant square of fresh, delicious, and locally sourced fruits and vegetables not only allows many people to enjoy safe and trustworthy agricultural specialties but has also turned into a popular weekend leisure destination.
