Beijing Zhaolai Forest Park
Zhaolai Forest Park is situated in Laiguangying Township, Chaoyang District, Beijing. It lies adjacent to the Light Rail Line 13 to the east, is just one road away from Zhaolai Agricultural Park to the west, faces Lai Xin Road to the south, and has the Beijing-Baotou Railway traversing directly north. It is 1.5 kilometers from the North Fifth Ring Road, providing highly accessible transportation. To the southeast is Asia’s largest residential community — Wangjing. To the northwest is Beiyuan community, with the Beijing-Baotou Railway to the north and the high-tech agricultural demonstration zone — Zhaolai Agricultural Park — to the west.
The park spans 760 acres and was initially built in March 2002. In 2007, Zhaolai Forest Park was listed as one of Beijing’s key public welfare projects. Based on its original foundation, it was upgraded to a public suburban park and officially opened to visitors free of charge on the eve of International Workers’ Day in 2008.
Zhaolai Forest Park is a comprehensive suburban park integrating fitness, leisure, entertainment, and disaster prevention. It is divided into five main sections: Youth Forest, Evergreen Forest, Autumn Color Garden, Dense Forest Garden, and Water Scenic Area. There are six plazas within the park, surrounded by rolling terrain and shaded by lush trees. The Water Scenic Area is located in the center of the park and consists of two water bodies: an artificial lake covering 50 acres and a wetland spanning 30 acres. The lake sparkles under the sunlight, with green grass and chirping birds along its shores. The entire park is thoughtfully designed, beautifully landscaped, and offers pleasant scenery, making it a great destination for both residents and tourists.
