Sai Kung Promenade Park

Sai Kung Promenade Park is a seaside park located east of the Hui Man Road Rest Garden in the Sai Kung District of Hong Kong’s New Territories. The Sai Kung waterfront serves as a hub for accessing many attractions in the area and is a popular leisure destination for both tourists and locals. The promenade features open-air cafés, stalls, a water pool with stone sculptures, and frequently hosts carnivals and charity sales.

The square water pool in the center of the park’s plaza features a creative and unique design, with several small boats “docked” in the pool. These boats are made from what appears to be “old newspapers” (actually fiberglass printed with newspaper patterns). Next to the pool is a visitor center with welcome messages in ten languages, along with a semi-open exhibition space and a self-service information kiosk. The modern information facilities complement the rustic fishing harbor atmosphere. The western side of the park leads to the pier, while the eastern side features a seawall promenade. The seawall is also a popular dog-walking spot for local residents.
