Silverstrand Beach

Silverstrand is located on the northeast side of Clear Water Bay Peninsula in Sai Kung District, New Territories, Hong Kong, and is one of the narrower beaches in the area. Silverstrand Beach is the only beach under the management of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department situated beneath the upscale residential properties of Silverstrand, and it is equipped with shark prevention nets. Nearby, there are two separate beaches: Clear Water Bay Beach and Little Palm Beach.

Since Sai Kung District began attracting tourism professionals and visitors in the 1980s, some travelers have expressed interest in staying at the small hotels in Silverstrand. The beach water quality has consistently been good, and its transportation and nearby shopping facilities are slightly more convenient compared to other beaches in Sai Kung District. There’s no need to take a boat from Sai Kung Town, and it is the closest beach to Hang Hau MTR Station. Even by taxi, the fare is only around HK$20.
