Du Zhong Park is located along the eastern extension of Chang’an Avenue in the capital city, on the south side of the Jingtong Expressway and the southern bank of the Tonghui River, adjacent to Jinwei Road and Shuangqiao Middle Road. It covers an area of 59.9 hectares.

The park was formerly a thousand-mu Du Zhong forest in the Sanjianfang area of Chaoyang District. It was established in 2001, officially named “Du Zhong Park” with approval from the Beijing Municipal Government in 2007, and began renovation in April of that year, completing construction in April 2008. The park is planted with over 28,000 seven-year-old precious medicinal Du Zhong trees, complemented by various trees and shrubs such as ginkgo, cherry blossoms, lilacs, smoketrees, pomegranates, and honeysuckle. Peonies, tree peonies, and roses are interplanted beneath the trees, resulting in dense and diverse vegetation.

The park features an artificial Sun-Moon Lake, a reclining dragon fountain rockery, delicate small gardens, a circular plaza, and multiple rest areas. Its crisscrossing paths lead to serene and secluded spots, making it ideal for leisurely walks and jogging. A range of supporting facilities is available, including a multifunctional hotel, snack street, corridors, kiosks, fitness areas, and eco-friendly public toilets, offering a fresh and natural countryside leisure destination.
