Tsing Yi Promenade

Tsing Yi Promenade (Tsing Yi Promenade) is a seaside boardwalk in Hong Kong, located on Tsing Yi Island in the New Territories, and managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of Hong Kong.

The promenade follows the eastern shoreline of Tsing Yi Island, starting from Tsui Yee Garden, passing Tsing Yi Ferry Pier, Maritime Square, Horizon Plaza, and Cheung Fat Estate, all the way to Tsing Yi Northeast Park. With a total length of over 2,000 meters and covering an area of 6.6 hectares, it features gated access points connecting to Tsing Yi Sports Ground as well as private residential estates — Horizon Plaza and Grand Promenade (the section opposite Horizon Plaza closes at midnight). Above the park, there is a vehicular bridge and a railway bridge, known as the Tsing Yi North Bridge and the Lai Chi Kok Bridge respectively.

Facilities and Features

Facing Rambler Channel and Tsuen Wan, Tsing Yi Promenade is planted with a variety of vegetation, making it a great spot for residents of Tsing Yi District to exercise and relax. In fact, locals can be seen jogging or dancing here every day, with some even practising tai chi and other fitness routines.

The park also offers fitness equipment, so apart from jogging, visitors can use these facilities to work out. There are also several children’s playgrounds, allowing kids to have fun in this seaside park. Another highlight of Tsing Yi Promenade is its viewing platforms, which offer visitors better vantage points to admire the scenery of Tsuen Wan and Sham Tseng across the water.
