Lantau Link Visitors Centre and Viewing Platform

The Lantau Link Visitors Centre and Viewing Platform is situated at the northwest corner of Tsing Yi Island. It serves as an exhibition venue in Hong Kong that provides information about the Lantau Link. Covering an area of 19,000 square metres, it officially opened to the public in May 1997 when the Lantau Link was completed. The viewing platform includes outdoor displays of structural elements from the Tsing Ma Bridge, Kap Shui Mun Bridge, and Ting Kau Bridge, along with a visitor centre. The visitor centre houses informative models, photographs, and interactive games about the bridges. A spiral path winds up around the cylindrical viewing platform, allowing visitors to enjoy close-up or elevated views of the Tsing Ma Bridge, Kap Shui Mun Bridge, and Ting Kau Bridge. A pedestrian footbridge connects the visitor centre to the parking lot, where public toilets are also located.

The visitor centre was initially managed and operated by the New Airport Projects Co-ordination Office. After the office was disbanded in 1998, the exhibition centre came under the management of the Kwai Tsing District Office of the Home Affairs Department.

In addition, the visitor centre is home to a large number of plants such as Bauhinia blakeana, other Bauhinia species, and rhododendrons, making it the site in Hong Kong with the highest concentration of rhododendrons. From February to March each year, when thousands of rhododendron flowers are in full bloom, the sight is truly spectacular. There is also a century-old Chinese banyan tree planted on the premises.
