Introduction Situated in Hejing County, Bayingolin Prefecture, at the upper reaches of the Gongnaisi River, this is where the Gongnaisi Forest Farm is located. With an elevation between 1,600 and 2,400 meters, snow-capped mountains reflect in the lakes, while the hillsides are blanketed with pine trees and wildflowers. Herds of white sheep roam the ridges, making it a massive sanctuary for plants and animals. Species such as snowcocks, saker falcons, red deer, and brown bears inhabit the area, along with precious medicinal herbs like snow lotus and fritillaria. Gongnaisi experiences distinct seasons, each with its own unique scenery: fresh greenery in spring, blooming flowers in summer, red leaves touched by frost in autumn, and a pristine snowy landscape in winter. It is an excellent destination for summer retreats and tourism. Moreover, Gongnaisi is home to the renowned Arxan Hot Springs (36 km from the forest farm, not accessible by car but reachable by horseback rented from Gongnaisi), which are said to have healing and health-enhancing properties. Transportation: Gongnaisi is 330 km from Korla City, but only 95 km from Bayinbuluke. It is recommended to visit it together with Bayinbuluke Swan Lake.
