Horticulture Farm Pastoral Area Grand Canyon

The Horticulture Farm Pastoral Area Grand Canyon, located about 40 kilometers from the Horticulture Farm and approximately 100 kilometers from downtown Korla, sits at an altitude of nearly 3,000 meters. The canyon walls on both sides rise to nearly 1,000 meters in height, with the widest part of the valley measuring around 50–60 meters and the narrowest about 30 meters. Crystal-clear springs flow along the canyon floor, and dense primeval shrubbery grows along both banks. Within the nearly 3-kilometer-long canyon area, there are six waterfalls, the highest of which is nearly 400 meters and the lowest around 30 meters. The rock formations and colors on either side of the canyon are uniquely striking and captivating. The western side of the canyon is a high-altitude grassland, dotted with large stretches of pine forest and home to a variety of wildlife, plants, as well as other fascinating natural landscapes such as the “One Line Sky.” In summer, the highest temperature in the canyon reaches around 30 degrees Celsius, while the lowest is about 10 degrees, making it an ideal destination for summer retreats, leisure, sightseeing, and tourism.
