National Convention Center Fencing Hall
With a total construction land area of approximately 12.22 hectares and a total building area of about 534,000 square meters, this massive structure located just north of the National Indoor Stadium is the venue that hosted the fencing competitions during the 2008 Olympic Games.

The underground level houses security offices, venue operation facilities, and equipment rooms. The first floor above ground is the fencing training hall, featuring 14 fencing strips and accommodating around 1,800 spectators. The competition management offices are located on the second floor of the convention center, surrounding the training hall. The third floor’s north side serves as the warm-up area for the fencing venue, offering 12 warm-up strips along with rest and shower facilities for athletes. The south side of the third floor contains broadcast function rooms, covering an area of about 7,000 square meters, with 5 fencing strips and seating for nearly 6,000 spectators. This area will also host the fencing and air pistol events of the modern pentathlon during the Olympics. At that time, the fourth-floor hall will be converted into a competition venue with 10 fencing strips and 38 air pistol targets, accommodating around 4,000 spectators.
