Childlike Wonder — Xining Children's Park

This is a paradise for children, a world of joy. As you enter the park, the first thing that greets you is a central square filled with vibrant flowers, colorful balloons, innocent smiles, cheerful laughter, and friendly pigeons coexisting with people — all part of the park’s charm. On both sides of the square are stone carvings of the 12 Chinese zodiac animals, exquisitely crafted and lifelike. Parents often encourage their children to pose for photos while hugging their “zodiac animal,” preserving this happy moment forever. Behind the square lies a large fountain pool, which becomes a favorite spot for children during festive nights when the fountain lights up in a dazzling display of colors.

The park is shaded by tall trees and willows swaying gently in the breeze. There is also an artificial lake within the park, its emerald waters like a precious gem embedded in the landscape. Small boats glide across the lake, while fish swim playfully beneath the surface. Groups of three or five children often gather at the lakeside to catch little fish.

On the western side of the artificial lake, there are various amusement facilities such as a Ferris wheel and a high-altitude ride. Every child who comes here is filled with happiness. Seeing their smiling faces and hearing their laughter brings a sense of fulfillment, and allows visitors to relive their own childhood through these kids.

Deep within the park’s greenery lies a garden within a garden, named “Wonderland Garden.” It features a music teahouse, a riddle room, exhibition halls, and an architectural style that is delicate and quaint. With winding paths, corridors, arched gates, and floral windows, the walls are inlaid with stone calligraphy plaques, many bearing the brushstrokes of famous individuals. Each courtyard is planted with fruit trees, peonies, and roses, making it an elegant cultural retreat that combines childlike wonder with refined charm — a truly unique creation.
