Xining Changlinggou Scenic Area

Xining Changlinggou Scenic Area is a National Water Conservancy Scenic Area.

Xining Changlinggou Scenic Area, located in Shenjiazhai Township, Xining City, Qinghai Province, covers a total area of 1,725 mu and is an important part of the city’s afforestation project on the northern and southern mountains. Changlinggou is a model small watershed integrating suburban soil and water conservation, ecological tourism, leisure and entertainment, and technological demonstration. In 2009, Xining Changlinggou became the fifth batch of National Water Conservancy Scenic Areas. After years of development, the scenic area is now lush with trees, filled with birdsong and floral scents, vibrant and colorful, offering picturesque views from the mountain ridges to the foothills and from the slopes to the valleys, making it another unique water conservancy scenic attraction in Xining.

The scenic area has successively built 13 sightseeing and entertainment venues including small gardens, a children’s playground, a fishing park, and a tea garden. It also features over 10 static attractions such as flower stands, the Spring Picking Pavilion, the Sightseeing Pavilion, the Twelve Zodiac Sculptures, the Replica Great Wall, and traditional pavilions and towers. Additionally, there are more than 10 dynamic attractions including fountains, waterfalls, streams with small bridges, the World’s No.1 Teapot, Dragon Spring, and the Three-Tiered Spring.
