Duoba National Plateau Sports Training Base

The Duoba National Plateau Sports Training Base is located in Duoba Town, Huangzhong County, 26 kilometers from Xining and 20 kilometers from the county seat. Nestled against mountains and near water, the base boasts lush trees, a pleasant climate, and beautiful surroundings. It features 19 training venues for athletics, shooting, archery, boxing, judo, basketball, and more. It has hosted athletes from countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and South Africa for training camps. The “Ma’s Army” trained here 12 times, and athletes like Wang Junxia and Li Chunxiu stepped onto the world championship podium from this very place. It is internationally recognized as one of the best training bases and is hailed as the “Cradle of World Champions.” The Duoba National Plateau Sports Training Base also offers services for leisure vacations, sports fitness, and various conferences. In 2004, it was designated as a tourism and resort functional zone by the Xining Municipal Government.
