Jia Yi Temple

Jia Yi Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Jia Yi Temple, known in Tibetan as "Jiayi Echa Tazhanlin," means "Jia Yi Magical Liberation Realm." It is located at the Jia Yi agricultural site, 27 kilometers northwest of Daotanghe Town, Gonghe County, Hainan Prefecture, Qinghai Province. The temple was first built in 1984, with its main proponent being Dan Cuo Zhuoma, also called Gangri Kan Zhuoma, meaning "Snow Mountain Dakini." She was a female... She engaged in religious activities in Qu Gou of Gonghe County and Sha Gou of Guinan County before settling in Suo Helah Village, Qu Gou Township, and later moving to Jia Yi Village, Daotanghe Town, in 1974. In 1980, when Panchen Lama visited Hainan Prefecture, Dan Cuo Zhuoma and local devotees requested permission to build a temple in Jia Yi Village, which was granted. The Panchen Lama also inscribed the temple’s name plaque as "Magical Liberation Realm," and thus a small Gelug sect temple was established. It was approved for opening in 1988, with 15 monks at the time. Dan Cuo Zhuoma served as the head of the temple and was a standing member of the Hainan Prefecture CPPCC. After her passing, the day-to-day management of the temple was overseen by Mao Lan, the director of the temple management committee, among others.
