Guide: Commonly known as the Lake Heart Island. In ancient times, it was called the Immortal Mountain or Dragon Colt Island, and its Mongolian name is "Kuixuntuoluohei." It is located slightly south of the center of Qinghai Lake, about 30-plus kilometers from the southern shore, and is a major tourist attraction on Qinghai Lake. Introduction: The island stretches 2.3 kilometers from east to west and 0.8 kilometers from north to south, covering an area of 1 square kilometer, and is shaped like a snail shell. The mountain top rises about several dozen meters above the lake surface, with an elevation of around 3,300 meters. The mountain is composed of granite and gneiss, giving it a slightly milky white appearance.

On sunny days, when viewed from high ground, Haixin Mountain appears like a snowdrift floating on the waves, a truly spectacular sight. Ancient poets once wrote: “A swath of green waves floats white snow—none would guess it’s Haixin Mountain.”

The terrain of Haixin Mountain is relatively flat, and the island features rugged rocks, scattered sandbars, thick weeds, and blooming wildflowers. There is a type of flower here called the Buddha Flower, which is bright red in color, shaped like a poppy, and has leaves resembling those of a rose. It blooms every year in the fourth lunar month, filling the air with a sweet fragrance. In addition, the island grows a large amount of wild onions, crane crown grass, and polygonum, all excellent forage. In summer, the island is lush with water plants and boasts enchanting scenery, making it an ideal natural pasture.

Surrounded by water on all sides and far from the hustle and bustle of the world, Haixin Mountain is an exceptionally secluded and naturally heavenly place that captivates the imagination. The island also has some ancient structures left behind from earlier times, such as temples, monks’ quarters, and prayer stone piles, which offer visitors a place for reflection.
