Qunkelajia Ruins is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Qinghai Province.

Qunkelajia Ruins

Located in Qunkelajia Village, Daotanghe Township, Gonghe County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. Qunkelajia Village sits on the shore of Qinghai Lake, with a small sandy gully to the west of the village. The ruins are situated on the eastern bank of the gully, covering an area of approximately 70×50 meters, with a cultural deposit thickness of 50 centimeters. The ground is scattered with miscellaneous bones and pottery fragments, and the exposed cliff of the gully reveals ash layers containing miscellaneous bones, pottery fragments, and fish bones, with fish bones being particularly abundant. The pottery fragments are mostly small and fragmented, but some recognizable artifacts include sand-tempered pottery double-handled jars, handleless jars, and pots. Based on the pottery, these ruins are identified as belonging to the Dahuazhongzhuang type of the Kayue culture. It is a provincial-level cultural heritage protection site.
