Qinzhou Confucius Temple

Qinzhou Confucius Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Gansu Province.

Qinzhou Confucius Temple is located on the pedestrian street in Dacheng District, Qinzhou, Tianshui City. Originally built during the Ming Dynasty, it underwent multiple expansions up to the Republican era. Covering a site area of 1,120 square meters and a building area of 787 square meters, it currently retains two structures: the Dacheng Hall and the Ji Gate. The Dacheng Hall faces south, has a width of five bays, measuring 24.4 meters in length, and a depth of five bays, spanning 19.95 meters. It features a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof, while the Ji Gate has a width of three bays and a hanging hip roof. Qinzhou Confucius Temple holds significant value for studying the development of Confucian culture in the Tianshui region, as well as the history and technology of ancient architecture. It was designated as a county-level cultural relic protection unit in 1981.

On November 8, 2017, it was included in the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units in Gansu Province. The protected area extends 5 meters outward from the outer base of the surrounding wall in all four cardinal directions: east, south, west, and north.
