The Qinzhou Wang Family Residence

The Qinzhou Wang Family Residence is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Gansu Province.

The Wang Family Residence is located on Ziyou Road in Qinzhou District, Tianshui City, covering a land area of 900 square meters with a built-up area of 787 square meters. The residence features relatively simple and traditional architecture. The entire structure has a rectangular layout, consisting of a single-entry two-courtyard complex, with two siheyuan (courtyard house) formations in the front and rear. It includes a main hall building, wing rooms, a passageway hall, a women’s chamber (embroidery tower), side rooms, a reverse-facing building, an entrance hall, and other structures. Along the northern axis of the courtyard, there is a three-bay passageway hall, flanked closely by two gable-and-hip roofed side rooms serving as the women’s chamber. Five-bay wing rooms are constructed on both the east and west sides, sharing the same layout as those in the rear courtyard.
