Huangqu Park
Huangqu Park is located in the urban-rural fringe area of the eastern part of the capital, adjacent to Dongwei Road, facing Chaoyang Road to the south, connected to the Fifth Ring Road to the west, and situated about 11 kilometers from the Capital International Airport.
Huangqu Park is a village-operated park, collectively owned. Established in 1986, it covers an area of 89,910 square meters and is rated as a third-tier park in Beijing. The park is open to the public for free activities such as leisure and fitness. Managed by full-time cadres from the Huangqu Village Committee, the park employs 13 regular staff members, all of whom are local villagers. It receives approximately 73,000 visitors annually, features 38 species of trees totaling 2,850 individual plants. As one of the earlier village-built parks, Huangqu Park has developed scenic greenery, achieving the standard of “flowers in three seasons and evergreen throughout the year,” accompanied by birdsong and fragrant blooms. During peak times, particularly for fitness activities, visitor numbers can reach up to a thousand.
