“Old Beijing Comes Alive” Multimedia Digital Art Exhibition Theme: Discover Old Beijing, Love New Beijing

Based on the painting scroll *A Panoramic View of Old Beijing* by Mr. Wang Daguan, a renowned People’s Artist of Beijing, which depicts the full panorama of the old city in the 1930s, and inspired by the presentation style of *Along the River During the Qingming Festival* showcased in the China Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo, this exhibition was created by the original production team. The “Old Beijing Comes Alive” exhibition presents, in a digital format on a massive screen measuring 228 meters long and 3 meters high, the buildings from the painting such as city walls, temples, residences, and restaurants, as well as daily life scenes including weddings, shopping, and opera performances. In terms of scale, artistic breadth and depth, as well as content and presentation, the “Old Beijing Comes Alive” exhibition has completely surpassed the *Along the River During the Qingming Festival* display at the Expo, and can be hailed as the best in the world.
