Ma Wang Temple on Pingtan Street. A Qing Dynasty cultural relic. It is a municipal and district-level protected historical site, classified as an ancient architectural structure of the temple and ancestral hall category. Located in Pingtan Street East Community (formerly Pingtan Street Village), Pingtan Street Subdistrict Office, Mining District, north of Pingtan Street Primary School. The exact date of its initial construction is unknown; it was renovated in the 43rd year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1564) and the 21st year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1756), with further repairs carried out during the Daoguang and Guangxu eras. The temple faces south and measures 27.55 meters east-west and 26.9 meters north-south, covering an area of 741 square meters. It consists of two courtyards, an upper and a lower one. The upper courtyard currently retains the main hall, while the lower courtyard is divided into eastern and western sections. The western section includes the main hall, the southern hall, and the western side hall; the eastern section has the eastern and western mountain gates and the bell and drum towers, all of which are Qing Dynasty structures repaired in 2007. The main hall in the upper courtyard is three bays wide and five rafters deep, with a rolled shed roof covered by tubular and flat tiles. The front eaves have a central door and windows on the side bays. The stage foundation is built with strip stones and is 1 meter high. The rear of the stage features lattice doors and windows that separate the front and back performance areas. There is one Tang Dynasty locust tree and seven Qing Dynasty stone steles in the courtyard.
