Hengquan Lao Ye Temple

Hengquan Lao Ye Temple is located in Hengquan Village, Yukou Town, Fangshan County. It faces south with its back to the north, measuring 33 meters from north to south and 27.8 meters from east to west, covering an area of 917 square meters. According to inscriptions newly erected in the temple and records on the western corridor wall of the main hall, the temple was originally built in the 13th year of the Republic of China (1924), and has been repaired in 1990, 1992, 2004, and 2007. The existing main structure of the main hall dates back to the Republican era. It is a single standalone building with a two-story brick-and-wood structure. The second floor is five bays wide and four rafters deep, featuring a single-eave flush gable roof, a five-rafter front corridor, and both the column-top and intermediate bracket sets on the front eaves are of the one-dou-two-rise type.
