1.Four Beasts Mountain Trail
 
Located in Taipei’s Xinyi District, the famous Four Beasts Mountains—Tiger, Leopard, Lion, and Elephant—are well-known hillsides for night views. However, not many hikers tackle all four mountains in one go. Still, thanks to their low elevation and gentle slopes, they are an easy and great choice for a family outdoor adventure. The area is rich in biodiversity, especially with a diverse variety of ferns halfway up the mountains, earning it the nickname “Fern Biodiversity Ecological Classroom” of Taipei.

2.Longchuan Rock Kaiyan Mountain Trail
 
Located on Bijianshan in Neihu, Longchuan Rock and Kaiyan Mountain are huge weekend hits. At the end of the Kaiyan branch trail, there is a large white rock that resembles a dragon boat, hence the name Longchuan Rock. The spot offers amazing views of areas such as Datushan, Dawei, Baishihu, and Dahu Park. The lush green trees and vibrant valleys create a refreshing atmosphere.

3.Shitiling Trail
 
Situated on the eastern side of Yangmingshan, Shitiling Trail features gentle terrain, wide vistas, and rich biodiversity. The scenery along the trail varies from quiet forests to expansive grasslands, with distant mountain ranges in view. It also connects with various nearby historic trails. 4.Jiànjiàn Rock Hiking Trail
 
Jiànjiàn Rock is located in the mountainous area just north of Shibaizhong General Hospital in Shipai. At an elevation of 185.6 meters, the prominent large rock standing amid layered mountains resembles a ship at sea, hence its name. During the Japanese colonial period, it was grouped with U-Li’an Mountain, Danfeng Mountain, and Wu Jian Lian Mountain, collectively known as the Wu Jian Lian Peaks. The rocky summit is an ideal spot for rock climbing practice and is also a very popular hiking route.
