China Fitness Mountains · Yishan Mountain Climbing Race Concludes Successfully
On October 19, the 2014 China Fitness Mountains · Yishan Mountain Climbing Race, jointly organized by the Chinese Mountaineering Association and the Chinese Scenic Areas Association, concluded successfully in Zoucheng City, Shandong Province. Over 1,500 athletes and outdoor sports enthusiasts from across the country took part in four categories: men's and women's speed climbing, family doubles, and fitness groups. Among them, Li Zicheng from Shandong, Ma Zhengtong from Shandong, and Gao Yongning from Gansu won the top three spots in the men's speed climbing group; Zheng Wenrong from Yunnan, Pan Mei from Liaoning, and Li Wenjie from Shandong claimed the top three in the women's speed climbing group.
Following the launch ceremony held at Shangfangshan Scenic Area in Beijing, the China Fitness Mountains series has successfully held four high-level events in Kongtong Mountain (Gansu), Yanzhi Mountain (Zhangye), Huashan Mountain (Shaanxi), and Yishan Mountain (Shandong). The fifth event and closing ceremony will take place on November 15 and 16 at Luofu Mountain in Guangdong. Outdoor climbing enthusiasts from across the country are encouraged to sign up.
