It is located 30 kilometers from Longling County and is named the 808 Reservoir after the highway milestone at the base of the dam, which reads “808” kilometers.

Here, lush trees provide ample shade, the mountains curve gracefully along the water, and the shimmering lake complements the surrounding hills, while the azure waters blend seamlessly with the blue sky—making it a picturesque natural lake and mountain park.

The jagged green mountains are either cut off by the water or extend into the lake, forming small islands and peninsulas.
