Nuofu Church is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Nuofu Church

Nuofu Church is located on a small hill 300 meters northwest of the Nuofu Township Government in Lancang County. It is a Christian church established by the American Baptist Mission and was built in the 11th year of the Republic of China (1922). The church features a traditional Lahu stilted corridor-style structure, with interior decorations in the style of European and American churches.

The total construction area is 506.6 square meters, and the floor plan features a longitudinal double-cross connected wooden frame structure with a flat-tiled roof. It houses a worship hall, a Lahu-language classroom, and a pastor’s rest room. Christian missionary activities ceased in 1949 with the liberation. It is now listed as one of the third batch of Yunnan Provincial Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

In May 2013, Nuofu Church was designated as part of the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
