Baishuidong Waterfall is located in Anping Village, fifteen kilometers northeast of the city. The waterfall sits within a canyon, standing about 28 meters high and 18 meters wide. In spring and summer, the cascading waters resemble a brocade, while in autumn and winter, the white flow hangs like a silk ribbon—truly spectacular. According to records, “the water pools into a deep basin below, which never overflows in the rain nor dries up in drought. In the past, skilled swimmers entered and saw stone fields, stone stoves, stone cups, and stone pillars. Beside the stones is a cave that, when followed upward, reveals bright views stretching for a hundred li.” After liberation, a reservoir was built at the canyon, attracting flocks of egrets and wild ducks that come and reside here. The green water and lush mountains complement each other, creating a vibrant scene. The “Liuliu Pavilion” in front of the cave has also been newly renovated, surrounded by green pines and verdant bamboo that catch the eye, adding even more poetic charm to Baishuidong Waterfall. Today, the number of visitors coming to admire this wonder increases day by day. It is one of the grand sights of Yuping and also one of the scenic spots in Guizhou Province.
