Pingxi Wei City Wall

The Pingxi Wei City Wall is located to the north of Zhongshan Road in Pingxi Town and is a county-level cultural heritage site. In the 23rd year of the Hongwu reign during the Ming Dynasty (390 BCE), Xu Sheng, the commander of Pingxi Wei, expanded the Pingxi Fort city eastward into a square shape. It borders the Wenshui River to the east, the South Gate Slope to the south, Ziqi Mountain to the west, and the Wuyang River to the north. The city wall is 4,552 meters long and 6.7 meters high. The remaining northern section of the wall is about 640 meters long, including the Small North Gate and the double-arched “Gongchen Gate” (North Gate) entrance.
