Zhaojiaba Ming Tombs

The Zhaojiaba Ming Tombs are a Guizhou Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

The Zhaojiaba Tomb site faces the Huangfenzui Tomb site across the Xiang River, with a distance of 600 meters between them. In 1957, when the Guizhou Provincial Museum was cleaning up the Yangcan Tomb, the M1 tomb at this site—mainly focusing on the female burial chamber—was excavated, and in 1982 it was listed as a provincial-level cultural heritage protection unit. This excavation confirmed that tombs M1 and M2 at the site belong to Yang Zhongyan, the 19th-generation Tusi (local chieftain) of the Bozhou Yang clan, and Yang Yuanding, the 20th-generation Tusi, while M3 is the tomb of a Tusi’s wife from a certain generation.
