Yunwu Lake Leisure, Sightseeing and Holiday Resort, covering a total area of 30 square kilometers. Yunwu Mountain is the main range of the Miao Mountains and a famous mountain in Guizhou. The renowned tribute tea of the Ming and Qing dynasties — Yunwu Tea — is produced here. The Yunwu Tribute Tea Stele, erected during the reign of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, stands halfway up the mountain and is a provincial-level key cultural relic protection unit. Surrounded by mountains, Yunwu Lake at the foot of Yunwu Mountain holds 2.5 million cubic meters of water. With a vast surface, islands in the lake, visitors can stroll along the shore, fish by baiting, paddle a boat, or swim in the waves.

The surrounding area features dense forests and tea plantations sprawling over thousands of acres along the hillsides. The fertile farmland near Yunwu Mountain produces the renowned high-quality Yunwu Rice and Yunwu Rapeseed. The vicinity also includes the Xitouyan Our Lady Church, built during the Daoguang era of the Qing Dynasty, and the Yunwu Catholic Church, constructed in the Tongzhi era, as well as the naturally stunning landscapes of Jiazi Tun, Shuikou Shan, Lianzhu Shan, and Guxia Shan. This is the “Hometown of Miao Ethnic Lusheng and Long Drum Dance Art” designated and awarded by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture. It is home to the well-known Yunwu Bullfighting within and beyond the province, as well as the famous tribute horse from the Ming and Qing dynasties — the Yunwu Pony. All of these attract tourists from across the country to come here for leisure, holidays, and sightseeing.
