Fuquan Mountain Scenic Area

Fuquan Mountain Scenic Area, covering an area of 14.29 square kilometers, centers around Wanghai Peak as its core, with tea-covered hills forming a green line, and lakes, seas, ponds, and streams creating a blue line. Relying on its natural landscapes and historical-cultural sites, the area expresses its overarching theme — "Fortune" — through four scenic clusters: Gate of Fortune, Leisurely Tea of Fortune, Clear Pool of Fortune, and Fortune as Vast as the Eastern Sea.

The Gate of Fortune Cluster, spanning an area of 188 hectares, is constructed using cultural elements such as the Daci Temple and the ancient tomb passage of Shi Miyuan, along with the area’s natural terrain. It serves as a new-concept heritage park and the main entrance zone of the scenic area. At key axis endpoints, structures themed around the “Gate of Fortune” are arranged, with landscape features highlighting the ambiance of the “Gate of Fortune.” Meanwhile, the former tea plantation is being transformed into a planned Tea Expo Park to showcase various types of tea and serve as a genetic repository, also functioning as a science education hub for promoting tea culture.

The Leisurely Tea of Fortune Cluster, covering an area of 188 hectares, features tea plantation landscapes as its main theme. These can be categorized into five types: farmland tea gardens, lakeside tea hills, reservoir tea hills, mountaintop tea hills, and terraced tea hills. The large-scale natural landscapes combined with man-made tea hills define the unique characteristics of this area’s scenery, highlighting the concept of “harmony between man and nature.” The planning focuses on shaping the landscapes of the lakeside tea hills and reservoir tea hills, skillfully utilizing mountain contours, water bodies, the texture of the tea fields, and the broader landform to accentuate the distinctive features of the tea garden landscapes. This creates a strong visual impact that showcases the charm of nature.

The Fortune as Vast as the Eastern Sea Cluster, spanning an area of 282 hectares, is located at the peak of Fuquan Mountain and at the endpoint of the scenic axis of Dongqian Lake. It is also a key site for expressing the scenic area’s theme of “Fortune.” At the highest point of Wanghai Peak, facing the East China Sea, a tourism landmark for Fuquan Mountain is being established. Utilizing water features such as the Longtan Spring and the tea garden landscapes on the mountaintop, structures for tea tasting and tea-themed dining are being created to highlight the main vein of the tea gardens.
