Ninth Block NPC Mechanical Super Escape Room (Wangjing Branch)
Main features: live NPCs & super spacious rooms. Before playing, watch two short videos—one on safety guidelines and one introducing the storyline. The videos are really well-made, with excellent editing that gets you into character even before the game begins.
As for the live NPCs, their acting is good, but the ones in Zone 52 are pretty intense—they actually scared some of my friends. Later on, one NPC turned into more of a hint-giver, so we went from being scared to actually looking forward to their appearances.
[Cannibal Tribe] The space is huge, the scenes are nice, and the experience is fun overall, but honestly, it’s not as classic as Zone 52.
[Zone 52] There are two routes—red and yellow—splitting players into two groups. One group has some horror elements, while the other is completely non-horror. Each group has different tasks, and they eventually work together to escape. There are around twenty rooms in total, with over ten per group, including shared and private ones. The two groups have little interaction throughout, which is a bit of a shame, but it doesn’t diminish the overall enjoyment. The timely appearances of NPCs add to the game’s intensity; climbing, jumping, and crawling all boost the fun factor; and the large-scale mechanisms and puzzles create a great sense of accomplishment. Everyone who played came out raving about it—it’s a highly recommended escape room experience.
