Wind Sound - MiGroup Explores the Escape Room Scene
[Theme] While everyone was eagerly anticipating the grand opening of TFS Shanghai, TFS quietly dropped a silent bomb — the Wind Sound themed escape room experience has made its subtle debut. The name itself should remind you of that classic spy thriller movie, “The Message” (风声). The story revolves around the cunning world of espionage operatives, recounting how our party’s two intelligence officers struggle to conceal their identities and outwit the Nationalist army. So, does the first image that comes to mind include the graceful figures of Li Bingbing and Zhou Xun, dressed in elegant qipao? Of course, gentlemen also get to sport handsome military uniforms, and this time there’s even the option of wearing a Zhongshan suit!Compared to traditional escape rooms and TFS’s previous four major themes, the Wind Sound theme leans more towards recreating a game of Werewolf/Mafia — it requires exactly eight players, no more, no less. Players will randomly be assigned different factions, roles, abilities, and privileges. As the game progresses, various events are triggered with high levels of randomness—meaning ten thousand games could result in ten thousand different outcomes! The atmosphere is tense throughout, with NPCs delivering incredibly compelling performances (I later chatted with one of the NPCs, and they mentioned how physically and emotionally demanding their roles are, especially the lead actor and the captured communist woman — kudos to them!). You’ll need to constantly interact with them to serve your own interests, while also trying to uncover others’ identities and forming alliances to achieve your personal goals. Outwitting each other is endlessly entertaining. The game is divided into two teams: the Communist Party and the Nationalist Party, but you don’t know who is on which side. You must rely on the clues in your briefcase, others’ special missions, and their unique skills (which we won’t spoil here!) The final segment is similar to a Werewolf game — there are two rounds of speeches, and you must vote on which two players you believe are the communist undercover agents, based on everyone’s statements and behavior during the game.
[Summary] Throughout the entire experience, the NPCs’ performances are so realistic that you genuinely feel as though you’re caught in the crossfire of an intense undercover battle between the Nationalists and Communists — the immersion is incredibly strong. The military uniforms and qipaos are top-notch. All costumes are custom-made to fit a wide range of sizes. The variety is astonishing, with nearly a hundred outfits to choose from (there’s even something for fans of the "Mystery Room Swordsman" Shangguan, haha). During wait times, players can enjoy entertainment options such as billiards or a Werewolf game room. The entrance area also features plenty of board games and ample space for fun. The photo room is exquisitely decorated, perfect for those who love taking stylish photos — whether you're a beauty or a tomboy. Everything from the sofas and carpets to the vanity is meticulously designed. PS: One more thing worth mentioning — TFS staff are always good-looking, especially the store manager. And here’s a must-know tidbit: it seems the theme inspired them to hire a beauty who looks strikingly like Zhou Xun. If you haven’t played yet, definitely give it a try and snap a selfie with your “Zhou Xun”! Haha.
