Huangguoshu Shenlong Cave

Shenlong Cave was discovered over 300 years ago by the Buyi ancestors of Zhedou Village. It once served as a military fortress for the local Buyi people to resist officials and bandits, and some of its military facilities remain preserved to this day. The cave is also revered as a "sacred cave" by the local Buyi community. It features two levels of dry caves and one level of water cave, with its lowest underground river connected to the Huangguoshu Waterfall. The cave has interconnected chambers and an intricate network of stalactite formations, with over 100,000 stalactites ranging in size from those requiring more than ten people to embrace to tiny ones as small as embroidery needles.
