Sideways Rock at Huangguoshu

It is said that this is a narrow passageway where “those with big bellies find it hard to get through.” Adults can only squeeze through sideways. The 10th Panchen Lama, who was quite portly, managed to easily pass through this “big belly challenge” in the 1980s during his visit to the Tianxing Scenic Area by using his “belly-tucking” technique. In 1997, André Milongo, then President of the National Assembly of Congo, also visited here and managed to pass through this passage sideways despite his “big belly.”

Transportation

There are direct special buses from Anshun South Bus Station labeled “Anshun–Huangguoshu.” Get off right at the entrance of the Huangguoshu Ticket Hall, then take a minibus from the Huangguoshu Scenic Area to reach the site in about 20 minutes.

Ticket

No separate ticket is required, as it is included in the general admission ticket for the Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area.
