Jianyang Longquan Lake

The Longquan Lake scenic area is located in the western part of Jianyang City, Sichuan Province. It consists of two lake districts, is 38 kilometers from Chengdu, and is a comprehensive scenic area dominated by water surfaces.

Longquan Lake centers around the main dam of Shipan Reservoir and No. 5 Island, including over 10 surrounding attractions such as Shipanpu, Shijing Temple, and the satellite recovery landing site. It covers a total area of 51 square kilometers, with a water surface of 55 square kilometers, a shoreline stretching 54 kilometers, and 26 isolated islands and peninsulas.

The shape of Longquan Lake resembles a tadpole, with its head and body surrounded by vast misty waters. Its tail extends 5,880 meters, flanked by bizarre peaks and steep cliffs. The hills around the lake and the islands within it are covered with fruit trees and flowers. The water is crystal clear, dotted with wild ducks and numerous fish. In spring and summer, birds sing and flowers bloom amidst the beautiful mountains and waters. When autumn and winter arrive, the area becomes misty and serene, offering a tranquil, hazy landscape.
