Huilonggou Ecological Scenic Area

The Huilonggou Ecological Tourism Area is located on Baishui River in Pengzhou City, Chengdu. It lies on the same tourist route as the famous scenic spots Danjing Mountain and Yinchanggou, and is adjacent to the Longmen Mountain National Geological Park. The area enjoys convenient transportation, being only 76 kilometers from Chengdu, making it an ideal destination for leisure and vacation. It has been designated as a national forest park by the National Forestry Department.

Lush mountains, clear waters, fresh air, and a pleasant climate are the distinctive features of the Huilonggou Ecological Tourism Area.

The mountains here are majestic, rugged, steep, and imposing, while the waters are pristine, serene, elegant, and beautiful. Each season brings its own unique scenery. In spring, it becomes an ocean of flowers, with azaleas, peonies, peach blossoms, cherry blossoms, and various alpine flowers blooming in vibrant competition. In summer, the dense foliage blocks out the sun, bringing a cool breeze, with temperatures rarely exceeding 24.5°C,

allowing you to instantly escape the summer heat and forget that it's still the peak of summer. In autumn, the high-altitude air is crisp, red leaves blaze with color, and fruits are abundant, making it a great place to admire the fall foliage. In winter, silver landscapes stretch endlessly under snowy white skies, with icicles, ice stalagmites, and ice formations... making it a rare nearby snow-viewing destination for the outskirts of Chengdu.

The beauty of Huilonggou also lies in its unique attractions: the Traditional Chinese Medicine Garden, home to hundreds of herbal species, allows you to marvel at the wisdom of our ancestors while immersing yourself in a magical world of medicinal plants that broadens your horizons. The Water Recreation Area not only lets you enjoy various water activities but also offers lakeside tea tasting, fishing, and board games. The Bizarre Rocks and Water Scenery Area features numerous uniquely shaped rocks such as “Emerging Giant Python,” “Golden Ox Worshipping Buddha,” and “Warriors’ Wall,” all strikingly lifelike and spectacular. The hidden Dragon’s Roar Waterfall and the deep, mysterious Huilong Gorge are both heavenly wonders crafted by nature’s artistry. The Wild Azalea Viewing Area boasts thousands of azalea plants in over ten colors, blooming competitively on hillsides, cliffs, and isolated rocks, creating a magnificent sight. The Alpine Forest Area offers a unique forest health bath experience, giving you a completely new sensation. In the Century-Old Peony Viewing Area, you can admire rare peony specimens that are a century old and bloom with hundreds of flowers, as well as hundreds of peony varieties swaying in the wind. The area is known for its unique, fragrant, and gorgeous flowers, truly letting you experience the meaning of an “ocean of flowers.” The Wild Monkey Interaction Area lets you feed monkeys by hand, play with them, take photos, and feel the harmony between humans and nature.

To accommodate visitors, the scenic area has built the Huilong Mountain Villa, which integrates dining and entertainment and can accommodate 500 people for food and lodging. The villa also offers supporting recreational facilities such as hot spring bathing, tennis, boating, and fishing. In the evenings, there are bonfire parties themed around dragon culture, along with Tibetan and Qiang ethnic song and dance performances, as well as Guozhuang dance events full of rich cultural flavor for you to enjoy.
